Cute pictures

By the way...Lilli is the cute one in these pictures! I'll post more pictures of my other cute kids if I can get them to hold still for a photo shoot. :)

Taxes and Disneyworld

Every January we get the dreaded, yet anticipated letter...the letter that states it is time to set up our tax appointment. Ugh! Now, I anticipate this for 2 reasons; first, it is expected, after all it is January. Second, we usually get a fair amount of money back, seeing as we have 4 kids-they are such good little deductions. :)
I dread it because I not only have to gather all our personal tax info I have to help Lars make sure we have everything we need for his business. I absolutely hate this part. If I were a more organized person I probably wouldn't even give it more than a passing thought, but seeing as I am not very organized at all, it is with great trepidation I face tax season.
That being said, we are done!!! There is nothing better than that, we are done for another year. Maybe this year I will be more organized, I will start now, blah blah! Yeah right! BUT I will enjoy Disneyworld at some point this year since we received our anticipated return. This time we will be joined by our good friends, the Idowus as well as Lars' brother and his family. What a "vacation" this will be! Okay it won't be a relaxing vacation but I am anticipating this with an immense amount of excitement anyway.
So taxes aren't all bad, at least when you get a return. As for Disneyworld, that is never bad...at all...ever!

March???

How can it possibly be March? In just over a month I will have another kid ready to be baptized! Henry will be 8 in April. It hardly seems possible. I'm not sure where the time has gone. By the end of this year I will have a deacon as well, Oscar turns 12 in September. It is wonderful and I love watching them grow up but the last, almost, 12 years have just flown by...and I'm sure the next 12 will go even faster, that part makes me want to cry. They are great kids though, they each have their own unique talents and personalities.
Henry is such a passionate kid. That is good, and sometimes hard as well. Passion, when directed properly, is a great motivator. It can also cause a person to seem somewhat stubborn at times. He is really excited to start cub scouts! I am excited to see what life has in store for him, he is smart and creative, and sensitive. But I will write more about him later...as his birthday draws closer. Today I am simply reflecting on the passage of time. Lilli will be 3 this May and Emma 11 in September. How did my kids get so big? I will be all of 31 this year and Lars will be the ripe old age of 34. Wow he is sooooo old! :) (Of course the 3 year difference made him sound a lot older when I was still in my 20's and he was into his 30's!) :)
I am trying to enjoy each moment, but that isn't always easy. At least we can remember and reflect...this allows us to be selective in the moments we remember. So here is to selective reflection. May we enjoy and remember every moment, that we want to.
