How can it possibly be March? In just over a month I will have another kid ready to be baptized! Henry will be 8 in April. It hardly seems possible. I'm not sure where the time has gone. By the end of this year I will have a deacon as well, Oscar turns 12 in September. It is wonderful and I love watching them grow up but the last, almost, 12 years have just flown by...and I'm sure the next 12 will go even faster, that part makes me want to cry. They are great kids though, they each have their own unique talents and personalities.
Henry is such a passionate kid. That is good, and sometimes hard as well. Passion, when directed properly, is a great motivator. It can also cause a person to seem somewhat stubborn at times. He is really excited to start cub scouts! I am excited to see what life has in store for him, he is smart and creative, and sensitive. But I will write more about him later...as his birthday draws closer. Today I am simply reflecting on the passage of time. Lilli will be 3 this May and Emma 11 in September. How did my kids get so big? I will be all of 31 this year and Lars will be the ripe old age of 34. Wow he is sooooo old! :) (Of course the 3 year difference made him sound a lot older when I was still in my 20's and he was into his 30's!) :)
I am trying to enjoy each moment, but that isn't always easy. At least we can remember and reflect...this allows us to be selective in the moments we remember. So here is to selective reflection. May we enjoy and remember every moment, that we want to.
Why did I not know you had blog? What's up with that. Time does go by to quickly. It doesn't seem like it was that long ago that we were jumping on Granny and Grandpa's bed and playing barbies.
ReplyDeleteTell me about it. Isabella turns eight on Sunday and will be baptized on March 21st. I am to young/immature to have a kid that is accountable for their own actions!
ReplyDeleteThank you for putting your picture on there! It's so fun to see you. I can't believe you have an almost-12-year-old. That means you're just a year off from having a TEENAGER! I'm dreading those days, my kids are already so moody I don't know what I'm going to do when adolecsence kicks in! I found your blog through Sherrilynn's. Sorry I haven't emailed but glad to be in touch with you through blogs! Love, Erin
